DIY – Figure Base Tutorial

One of the problems when collecting figures is sometimes they come with plain boring bases. Other times the base just doesn’t match or it’s way too big. Sure you can display them without the base or prop them on a riser in a detolf but why not try making your own unique base.

The recently released blue swimsuit version of Nanako (Orchid Seed) inspired me to think of cute way to make bases for smaller cat girl figures; or even cat like figures.

You will need:

  • The lid off a pack of Whiskas Temptations, Crunch or Dentabits.
  • Black marker pen
  • Blue marker pen
  • Craft paper of your choice (any colour or pattern you feel suits the figure)
  • Scissors
  • Glue (optional)
  • Star sticker set, can be apart of a Christmas set
  • Any other craft items to suit

This DIY project is so easy. All you have to do is take the lids off the packs and decorate them to suit your figure – that’s it!

If I am not watching anime, doing work or playing games. I’m reading about figures and of course buying, pre-ordering and looking for a bargain deal.
