AMNESIA is based on the visual novel game by the same name. The game allows the player to pick their own storyline with many options, including possible male partners. Following along the same lines, the anime focuses a young girl as she attempts to figure out who she is and what her relationship is with the people in her life – including five different boys.
Showing off its style, AMNESIA gives each character their own eye colour which is split in a unique style. The male characters all wear dynamic clothing, allowing them to represent the main cards in a deck - Heart, Spade, Diamond, Club and Joker.
Moving along with the young girl, we find out what she finds out, which is very clever in terms of viewing pleasure. Every week we find out a new piece of information and all this seems jumbled.
Additionally a fantasy aspect comes into play as our heroine is accompanied by a spirit boy named Orion who only she can see. Worth watching for the visuals alone and for how the story plays out to please the fans.
