Time and Eternity begins in Kamza, a vibrant kingdom located on a lush ocean island in the midst of a national event, celebrating the upcoming marriage of princess Toki to the valiant knight Zack (or any name you choose, I prefer Bulbasaur). However, some weddings never go to plan and Toki’s is no exception. After a disturbing psychic reading about a death at her wedding, who would’ve known it would be her soon-to-be husband?

social Time and Eternity Review

As group of assassins appear during the ceremony, their blissful wedding day transforms into their worst nightmare. When the knight lies mortally wounded, princess Toki reveals her long hidden secret—there is a second soul living within her, Towa, and together they control the power to travel through time. But can they act quickly enough to reverse the course of history and find out what happened that fateful day? Only time will tell…

gameplay Time and Eternity Review

A new class of hi-def animation RPG: after playing the demo at MCM Comic-Con back in May this year, I had to expereince more to see if this mix worked overall. From world to battle to enemies, everything is hand-drawn with beautiful CG backgrounds by Japanese artist Vofan (Bakemonogatari), along with animation studio Satelight (Macross Frontier).

Experience JRPGs like you’ve never seen before by using lightning-quick real-time battle. Each heroine has her specialties, so use them wisely to blaze a path to victory. For example, Toki specialises in rifle mastery and works well for ranged attacks, but don’t hesitate to stick Towa in the front line with her top hand-to-hand combat with daggers and blades.

skills Time and Eternity Review

The main character switches between souls after each level up or if you use a pepper item, which comes in handy for certain social events. The game relies heavily on the dating sim/social aspect where you need to converse with characters to progress further in the story. It also requires the right soul to talk at the correct time. You can activate love moments between the dragon and either Toki or Towa.

There is a choice of four endings depending on how you play the conversations, so replaying the game is a must. With ample story and conversation it is a delight to play but if in the zone of completing tasks, the animation sequences can be skipped and camera angles can be changed making this game great to play for those with different tastes.
